Fowles
David is our VAT consultant and has more than 25 years VAT
experience making him one of the most experienced VAT
consultants in the UK. He is a member of the VAT
Practitioner's Group and a founder member of the Institute of
Indirect Tax.His career has
spanned government, industry and consultancy with
HM Customs
& Excise, Price Waterhouse Coopers and two multinational
groups of companies. Although David is an independent
consultant, on our client assignments he works as part of the
team.

Juliet Connolly
Juliet is our expert on expatriate tax, advising and
supporting individuals to and from the UK on their UK tax
matters. She also advises businesses who employ expatriates.
Juliet is one of a select group of
people that have qualified as a member of both the Institute
of Chartered Accountants and the Chartered Institute of
Taxation and in 2003 started her own tax consultancy UK Expat
Limited. Before then she had spent six years with KPMG, one of
the world's leading accounting practices. During this time,
she specialised in employee taxes, particularly focusing on
the implications of UK taxes for expatriates both to and from
the UK.

Jean-Philippe Carpentier
Jean-Philippe is a lawyer based in Paris who is qualified
under both the French and British legal systems. His offices
are in the centre of Paris close to the Bourse (stock
exchange). Capentier-Avocats specialises in commercial matters
for a range of clients from private/family businesses through
to insurance groups and supermarkets.
Commercial, contract and arbitration work comprise 35% of
their work, insurance 25% and labour & social security
law 30%.
The team of three lawyers are all
bilingual (French/English) whilst Jean-Philippe himself is
trilingual (French/English/German).
